Snow in March

Okay.. so I wrote this blog last week but I had trouble uploading the pictures so here it is now.

Who says that it never snows in DFW? On Thursday we had about 2" inches of snow fall in the mid-morning/afternoon. It was enough to cause me to have to leave work early and Caleb to get out of school early and have a late arrival on Friday. Friday Caleb had this 4 month well check, he is 17 lbs and 26.5" long - he is in the 75% for his age, I thought for sure that he would be in the 99%. He was suppose to get his immuzations too but we found out that he has his first ear infection. Poor guy, we had no idea that his ear was hurting him, we thought that he was just teething..opps. Next time we think it's his teeth, we'll know it's his ears. So, he lucked out this time and his shots were postponed for two weeks. Here are some of the pictures that we took of the snow.

4 Months Old & Growing

Now that Caleb is about to turn 5 months, I figured I better get on the ball and update our blog. Caleb is growing by leaps and bounds, every day he is learning something new it seems. Caleb spent his fourth month birthday with a day out. We went to Southlake an outside town center, it was such a nice day and I dressed him in his ants outfit from gymboree (it's so cute, we have the whole set). Even with his hat, the sun was a little too bright for Caleb though. He brought home his first artwork from school (daycare) on Valentine's Day. He has also made made a piece of artwork that his school is having a fundraiser with Original Works were we can purchase his art on different products like notecards, magnets, tote bag and more. I'm very excited, at 4 months he's already an artist. Caleb is learning lots of new skills, he can put his toes in his mouth, can sit up as long as he doesn't get distracted by his toes, is starting to roll over and already wants to start moving. He got his first taste of rice ceral and didn't like it but he loves Oatmeal (thanks for the idea Marcy). The spoon isn't fast enough for him. He seems to have gone back to his newborn days, waking up every 2 hours at night to eat, he can't seem to get enought to eat and it shows. He is at least 15 lbs and growing (his feet are as long as my palm)!!!!

James & I were able to go out and Kim watched Caleb for us, it was the first time for James & I to go out without Caleb being watched by family. It was nice to have a dinner out without worrying about bottles and a diaper bag and give us some adult time. It was a rough start for Caleb but he was asleep in his crib when we got home. James is working hard at the PD catching those bad guys, thankfully nothing too eventful has happened while he has been on shift. The PD has a volleyball team that James joined, so Caleb and I spend our Tuesday nights cheering on the team. Caleb loves all of the action to watch. I'm working and some days I wonder how I do it. Caleb and I have got seem to really have our routine down now, although every once in awhile there is a hiccup and it's always a trickle down effect. He'll spit up everywhere after both of us are already dressed, we change, then we get stuck by a train on the way, i forget the key card to get into his school... it's endless.

We are getting ready for a busy month ahead, starting with James' birthday next week and Caleb next wellness appointment (he has to get his 4th month shots). We are very excited to have my brother Philip come for a week, followed by James' parents and then spending Easter with my dad and stepmom who are here for almost a week.
