we got windows

In the last week our house hasn't seem to make much progress which I'm very disappointed about but of course I think that it should more a lot more quickly. In the beginning of the week we visited the lot and took the pictures below, we have windows, the electrical work, bath tubs and showers and a fireplace. They put the phone and cables plugs in the wrong spot, so we had to call and get that changed, I think that's why we didn't seem to have much work done. Again, why can't they move faster and get it done right the first time.
What is more exciting then our house is that my little baby is growing up way to fast! He has the skill of crawling down now and is constantly moving and getting into everything. Our apt is not childproof very well and of course I keep think well we are moving soon so we'll just wait until we get in the house, but man this boy can get into everything and it's hard work watching him so much. When he couldn't crawl, I was so excited for him to crawl but now I'm reconsidering it, it was better when he couldn't move! His favorite thing to get into is the Xbox and the DVD's under the tv. He will crawl over there, wait until i tell him "No" then try to knock the DVD's over or touch the Xbox. He has such a personally that he laughs at me when I tell him "No". We are going to have our hands full the next few years. He does better when James tells him "No", he'll listen a bit better but then sometimes acts like he is going to start crying.

Our House!!!

First I have to say that I think this is the least amount of time between posting that I have done since I started blogging. (Just wanted to point that out to someone). Here is a really cute picture of Caleb playing in the blinds.
Now the good stuff, all about our house! Yesterday we had our final appointment with the design center so our colors and upgrades are all set in stone, it's too expensive to make changes now. I just cross my fingers that everything looks good. Having to think about colors I have come up with our new decor idea (the idea for this week anyways) we are going to go Western in the family and dining room and in the kitchen we are going to go with the color of country red spinning off of the Western decor. In guest bedroom/office we are going to keep the beach theme ( i can't have a house without something beachy) and maybe in Caleb's bathroom. Then Caleb's room will stay Winnie-the-Pooh and our room, have no idea yet. So, i need your thoughts - think that it will all go okay or am i totally crazy. I'm going to try my best to explain our floor plan and I hope that it will make sense. When you first walk in the front door there is a wonderful art niche right in front of you, then to the left is the utility room which leads to the garage and to the right is the kitchen. The kitchen is like a half moon shape so when you walk in it's like a half circle with the cabinets and appliances around the half moon shape. Then from the kitchen there is a "bar" but it's really a hole in the wall, like a window that has an arch opening. It opens up to the dining room and family room, which is a long room that is divided by a arch. The family room has a fireplace in the far corner and to the right is a window and then the door to the backyard. There is a very small hallway off the family/dining room, to the left is our master bedroom, and leads into our bathroom with a very small walk in closest; to the right is Caleb's bathroom and straight ahead is Caleb's room to the left and the office/guest bedroom to the right. It's just a little cute house (1550 sq feet) but it's perfect for us right now and most importantly into our own place and out of an apartment!! Status: Our house has been framed, James went by today and the roof is all shingled, it just needs the windows and then it'll get the bricks.

Phil's Graduation

So, this blog is a few weeks late but we have been very busy in the Wall palace. Last weekend we went to Georgetown to celebrate the 55th wedding anniversary of James' grandparents! Wow, 55 years, when James and I celebrate our 55th wedding anniversary and if we don't kill each other before then (just kidding) I will be a very old 80 and my little baby will be having babies. I'm so happy to say that I'm loving my "younger years". I'm sorry to say that we have no pictures from the trip but we had a great time and Caleb was able to meet some aunts, uncles and cousins that he hadn't seen before. Of course, they all fell in love with him. What can I say he's the cutest baby in the world!!!
Caleb and I loaded up the suitcases and head up to Oregon for our first trip away from dad and a very quick trip to the NW. We left on a Thursday and go back on Monday, there wasn't enough time to do everything. We spent a lot of time with my mom and brothers and a day with my dad and step mom. Unfortunately, there was not a lot of time for friends and I'm sorry for all of those that I didn't get to see, I love you all and miss you! We were able to meet Sue, Will and Belen at the mall and spent an hour playing on the little playground. It was so great to see them and meet little Belen. She is so cute! Sunday was Phil's graduation and I couldn't help sitting there thinking that I couldn't believe that Phil is graduating. (Phil if you are reading you should stop now - you'll just get upset at me :) ) He is my baby brother and I still think of him as being 13 - so in my mind there is no way he should be able to graduate. It seems like just yesterday he was tagging along with my friends & I and I was taking care of him like he was my little baby and now I have my own child. Even though I have my own child, I'm still not ready for my baby brother to be all grown up. What am I going to do when I get the call that he has found "the one"? Time goes by so fast and we all grown up so quickly! I am so proud of Philip, he received special honors for his senior project that he did, something in computers and actually completed two senior projects!! Congratulations Phil! I wish you the best of everything in your future.
I don't want to make the blog too long but we have some very exciting news for the Wall Family. We are in the process of building a house, it should be ready to move in sometime in August. Please watch for pictures - we are going to the site and I promise to post pictures soon. :) On Tuesday James and I made our first trip to the design center and our second and final appointment is for this coming Tuesday. Picking out colors is so nerve racking - what if we don't pick out the right things - what if we get in the house and hate it - what if they don't really all go together. Ahhh, so many decisions.. I'm so glad to have James who can make decisions better then I can, I'm so indecisive.
Caleb also has his own exciting news - he is almost mobile! He can completely sit up on his own now, he doesn't crawl but he scoots and rolls over and stretches to get where he wants to go. This morning when I went to get up he was sitting up and had one of his legs hanging out of the crib. He has become quite the character. Hopefully I'm be able to get a video soon, but he would rather have mom and dad move him and only really moves when we aren't in the room.
This is really long and I still have pictures to share. I promise I am going to be a better blog. I have been told that I need to blog once a week so I'm going to give it a try. :)

Caleb loves to eat!!
