We had a wonderful Christmas this year, my dad and stepmom finally arrived after 15" of snow and flights canceled on Tuesday. They celebrated Christmas with us and we had a great time. Caleb understood the opening presents a bit more but still got distracted with one toy and wasn't interested in opening anymore toys. My dad & stepmom left on Saturday and my mom flew in and she'll be here until the 4th. I'm soooo excited to have her here and I have to say that I have off of work until the 5th which is just as exciting. I'm definitely looking forward to the time off and spending it with my mom, Caleb and James. Here are the photos from our Christmas day!

Just Another Sunday
(I think this is the first post without photos but I wanted to share Caleb's and I's adventure we had last Sunday)
Last Sunday I woke early so that I could do my weekly cleaning before Caleb woke up because I had a day all planned out for us. We were going to get most of my Christmas shopping done or at least the ones that required going to the mall and I wanted to go when all the stores opened up. We had like three stores to go to and the mall, and at the mall Caleb was going to get his picture taken with Santa.
So, I got all my cleaning done, got ready and then Caleb woke up, so I got him dressed and fed him breakfast. I packed the diaper bag, I even made a little lunch for Caleb since I knew we wouldn't have time to stop. I was so excited, everything was going as I planned...I should have known it was too good to be true.
We got loaded up in the car and we were about halfway there when Caleb was drinking his milk and it sounded like he was pouring his milk out. I turned around and I was right, the lid was all messed up and the milk was being poured down the front of his shirt, all over the car seat and his pants. Now, normally this wouldn't have been too big of a deal but the extra outfit I had brought for Caleb was not Santa picture worthy, thankfully I had packed another cup with juice in Caleb's lunch sot here were no problems there. I was determined to get his picture taken though - i have no plans on going back to the mall until after Christmas, there was only one solution I had to buy him an outfit while we were out, but babies r us and the mall weren't open yet.
When we arrived at our first stop - Toys R Us, i changed Caleb in the car into his un-worthy Santa picture outfit and we headed in to get Caleb and McKayla's Christmas gifts. After Toys R Us, I figured that Babies R Us would be open but no such luck, so Caleb and I went to another store to get Daddy's Christmas present then back to Babies R Us. it was still not open at this time... so we had a little snack in the car while we waited for the doors to open. There was a line outside of babies r us, I couldn't believe it! Finally, Babies r us opened and we were on a mission a Santa worthy outfit and a Santa outfit (him and McKayla are getting their pics taken as Mr. & Mrs. Claus). Our mission was interrupted by a corn popper - Caleb saw one and just had to have it. We were just walking by it and he put his hand outside of the cart and grabbed it. Now I had to fight with Caleb over the corn popper and he had to hold it in while he was sitting in the cart. It didn't work very work but the corn popper is now sitting in our living room but at least he does play with it. I finally found an outfit for his photo and his Santa outfit.
Next stop - Santa!! Once again, Caleb had a quick outfit change in the car. We were getting to the mall as it was opening so i was hoping that the line to see Santa wouldn't be too long, which it wasn't too bad....just about an hour wait. Caleb did really well in line to see Santa, he didn't get cranky and there was a cute little 5 year old behind us that entertained him. We were getting closer and Caleb was getting tired, I thought there is no way that he is going to go to sleep right as we get to Santa so i kept making sure that he would go to sleep. An hour later and there was Santa, it was Caleb's turn. I put Caleb on Santa's lap and because he was tired he had a confused looked, like who is this guy and just kept looking at Santa. We didn't get a picture with him smiling, just looking at Santa but mom is happy there is not a screaming Caleb and Santa photo! (I don't have a digital copy so I can't share it with you - but it's very cute)
Unfortunately, for Caleb we weren't done yet...I still had a few stores I needed to go to in the mall and was also there any case I saw something that caught my eye. Caleb had finally had enough though and we only made it through the stores that we "had" to go to so I don't have any more trips to the mall! All in all we had a successful day - we got everything accomplished!
