Visit to Oregon

Caleb's first trip to Oregon went wonderful, he had a great time and did so well with all the new environments, people and being so busy. Caleb's plane ride went better then I ever expected, he didn't fuss at all during the take off and landing and in fact sleep for most of them, I had to really encourage him to eat to help his ears! We stayed with my mom and Caleb enjoyed all the attention he got from his Grammy and uncles. His uncles were very excited to meet him and wanted to play with him even when he was sleeping. Caleb was introduced to a cat, my brother's cat, Runta was very eager to play with Caleb. Runta moved close to Caleb so that Caleb could pet her, it was so cute. Caleb pet the top of her head and pulled on her ears and Runta just kept moving closer so Caleb could play with her. We spent Saturday and Sunday with my dad and Beth, having my dad's family over on Saturday. It was great being able to introduce Caleb to his great aunts, uncle and second cousins. We enjoyed the chance to get to hang out with family and meet future members of the family, my cousin just got engaged before Christmas and another one will be following soon. One night my mom watched Caleb so James and I could go out to dinner and do a little shopping. It was so nice to have a little bit of time just the two of us, it was the first time that we had been out without him. Caleb met his friends Payton (3 yrs) and Logan (1 1/2 yrs), Payton was very excited to have Baby Caleb over even though he couldn't really play with her and wanted to sleep the whole time we were over at the Yoders. He also met Will (5 yrs) who was very excited to see and play with him and even held him for a picture. It was really great getting to catch up with friends, but we never have enough time. Last year we went for a long weekend and that was definitely too short, so we went for a week this year and that was too short too. We are already looking forward to our next visit to Oregon.
