Well, another Christmas has come and gone. It seems like there is so much excitement leading up to Christmas and for so many it's over in just a few days. This year Christmas was very low key for us, having a momma on bed rest can cause that. It was very nice to spend Christmas Day just the three of us, the days of just the three of us are slowly decreasing. On Christmas Eve James made a very nice Christmas meal with ham, green bean casserole, sweet potatoes and rolls, it was yummy and it wouldn't be Christmas Eve without The Christmas Story, I love that movie and now Caleb has added the line "shoot your eye out" to his vocabulary. I have to admit it sometimes it has been nice to not be able to do anything and James is doing such a great job. Caleb had a very nice Christmas, Santa brought him a Wii and he loves to play Mario Kart and Bowling, he is very good at Bowling. The day after Christmas, James' family had dinner with us and Sandy was wonderful and made dinner, giving James a break that was greatly appreciated and Caleb was happy to open more presents. We are very blessed by all the wonderful gifts that we received from our families, even the girls received some gifts. On the way back through town, James' family was able to make another stop at our house and Caleb got to spend time playing puzzles, trains and card games with April and Arinn, he loved having new playmates and mom was thankful for a break.
Now it's time to look to the new year. This year will be a very exciting year for our family as we welcome our two little girls in just a little more then a week and spend the year watching them grow and Caleb grow as a big brother and turn the big 5!! I'm very glad I still have another year before he enters kindergarten. Portland will have the pleasure of seeing us twice this year, in June Phil will be getting married and Caleb will be the ring bearer, momma is very excited for him.
Happy New Years!! Wishing you all the best!!
